Melbourne-based artist Hannah Acfield is an exceptional singer and songwriter. Described as “a luscious blend of Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell and Jeff Buckley”, she combines the storytelling of indie folk with soaring, stirring vocals inspired by gospel and soul. Hannah is an accomplished musician who is both adept and versatile, who for the most part plays electric guitar, whilst encompassing multiple instruments into her lexicon. The experience as one half of the folk duo ‘The Acfields’, a gospel singer and as a solo artist continues to inform Hannah’s art, making for an earthy and yet authentically soulful experience.
