It was midway through his year 12 experience in his hometown of Wangaratta that Mitch Verwey, the lad behind Happy Thrillmore, felt something draw him to the world of house music. It could have been plenty of things that fuelled this emerging passion, but the parallels between his favorite bands and the house artists he’s just recently discovered definitely cemented this love. Growing up on a healthy diet of Jazz, Funk, Progressive rock and Heavy Metal its no surprise that his tastes in house are just as diverse, and sticking to one genre isn’t the easiest decision to make for this self proclaimed ‘commitment-phobe’. For that reason, it sounds like a bit of everything is on the table and he’s certainly looking forward to exploring as much as he can through his journey as an artist.
