Hawking. It's a bird on the wing. It's shady folk selling their wares. It's the love child of Bob Hawke and Paul Keating. With a steely mix of alt. country and rock 'n' roll, Hawking's sweet harmonies will take you from Neil Young to Wilco with a little Go-Betweens in for good measure. Hawking brings out the best of Yvette Booth and Matt Ward's diverse song writing, while the genius keys of India Hooi and lurchy bass of Andy D Reference (local barfly) bring a raw energy and stage presence to deliver a lively and intense show.
