Heathcote Blue began its life as a vehicle for Perth musician Lyndon Blue (Seams, Leafy Suburbs etc) to perform songs by himself without plugging in. Over the years, it’s grown into a duo with violinist/vocalist/sibling Madeline Blue, and a full band with esteemed mates Jake Chaloner and Dan Harrison (Regular Boys, Jacob Diamond Band). Heathcote Blue’s debut album, Stray Dog Daily, was recorded late 2016 at Rada Studios, Perth. It’s a wistful but energised contemporary folk record, aptly cut for weekend drives to the hills, rainy day stereo play or contemplative headphone listens.
