Described as “the cliché swell of Disney music, the sound palette of video games and the energy of a coming-of-age indie film”, singer-songwriter / producer Heather Maine has come into the indie-pop world by releasing her debut single ‘Dumb’. The Sydney-based artist has been singing and writing music from a very young age, both collaborating on tracks and producing her own music. Combining both upbeat and mellow indie-pop with her love for toy pianos and synths, Heather Maine’s ‘dead-pan cute’ aesthetic conveys both strong musicality and simplicity. Taking influence from artists such as Maggie Rogers, King Princess, Conan Gray and The Strokes, she writes hooky songs on her experience of young adulthood. @heathermainemusic
