HEIGHTS.
Heights is a Brisbane based producer. He crafts warm streams of loop-based music designed to invoke nostalgia. Discarded records, everyday field recordings, and found sounds are broken down, stripped back, and then reconstructed into unique soundscapes. The end result is a swirling mix that retains a distinct organic character.
The Heights is a Melbourne folk trio who released their first self-titled EP this year. With tracks inspired by other Australian institutions such as Tinpan Orange and Xavier Rudd, The Heights weave harmonies throughout soft and sweet stories of their young lives.
The inception of the ‘HEIGHTS.’ collaboration between good friends Anthony and Lachy was formed when the two men whom had known each other for many moons decided to join forces. Originally becoming acquainted through the link of a shared brother, so to speak. It was on Boxing Day 2013 that both parties decided to discuss musical ideas. They threw these ideas back and forth several times before realizing that many of these ideologies were shared, and where different, could only act to improve the core of their original philosophy. So it was decided, amalgamation was the only solution, these ideas were vowed to be united as one. Through these ideas we proudly bring you HEIGHTS..
