Helen Colson is a music teacher in a small country town who's got a lot to say. Her music is stripped back and doesn't rely on electronica to get her message across. She's been playing piano since she was 6 but most of her songs now are guitar based. She has started playing local gigs, where people have responded well to her gentle, folksy/roots style, and she would welcome more gigs. Helen is currently recording her debut album, produced by legendary Australian guitarist John Meyer (ex Rose Tattoo, Matt Taylor's Chain and the John Meyer Blues Express). Black Heart is the first track off this forthcoming album. If you like her sound, contact her to let her know, or even better, write a review on this site.
