Formerly the front woman of local indie-rock band Ruby Blue, Hetty now writes and performs her own soulful solo music. Hetty is a skilful and soulful songwriter has been singing and playing guitar for as long as she can remember, and cites such artists as Imelda May, Tracey Chapman, Duffy and Gin Wigmore as her influences. Her own style of soft rock and folk can be described as heartfelt and eloquent. Lyrically, she can be insightful and honest without affectation, though her friends would describe her as extroverted, humorous and just a little bit strange (in the best way possible, of course). She believes that it is possible to hug all the cats, and one day she hopes to accomplish this.
