Hex
Four students at Canningvale college, each from different musical backgrounds, came together and formed a band. On vocals is have the enigmatic Jackson Mail, on guitars we have Shaun Kirkham and Caleb Purvis, and ruling the drums is the talented Ryan Fava. We have a unique blend of indie, hip-hop and pop-rock which sticks in the listener's head.
HEX blends hard-hitting catchy rock riffs, home-made guitars and a slew of pedals to deliver songs that sound bigger than you would expect from your average 3-piece. Ranging from the brooding to the bizarrely hilarious, HEX want your attention, NOW! "From the very first song they were a power trio that sounded like a rock orchestra.." - Suzie Creamcheese SUPPORTS Redcoats, Suzie Stapleton, The 80 Aces, Dallas Crane, Behind Crimson Eyes VENUES Gertrude’s Brown Couch, Bar 303, The Scarlett Lounge, The Loft (Warrnambool), Plus many less notable places. Born in Birmingham, UK in '97, Hex grew up with legendary sounds of Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Andy Weatherall, and other great DJ's and producers. At the young age of 17, Hex began producing his own tracks hoping to one day join the hall of fame of techno and house producers. Writing all of his tracks in his bedroom and laundry studio, Hex wants nothing more than an absolute bangin' tune
