Founded by guitarist Sam Miles in mid 2012, Highroads initially began as an indie-rock trio, but this genre was short-lived; the inherent power and salient superiority of metal was ubiquitous, and all encompassing influence in Sam's compositions. Parkway Drive-esque content bled into the bands repertoire. Over time, the line-up saw changes in all it's members, and in 2013 the member list was confirmed. Highroads first recorded demo debuted in late 2012, followed shortly by a more stream-lined E.P that reflected Highroads maturing sound.
