"…Highway Breakdown breathe a youthful new life into the blues-rock genre…with enough pinch harmonics and devilishly fast solos to plaster the faces of the audience. Lead vocalist Alex Watson is a revelation - amongst all this energy was that bluesy tone, which when executed with this sort of accuracy, provides a vivid image in itself." - James Hanlon : Xpress Magazine Highway Breakdown formed in late 2013 when Alex and Clayton met through an online advert where Alex was searching for a guitarist to start writing with after his previous band had fizzled out. Immediately there was musical chemistry with songs coming out of the woodwork in the first few months, some of which would end up on their debut EP. Bass was looked after by Dhivyan, a talented guitarist that secretly had as much funk as Flea once he traded-in for a 4-string. Shane took the slot for drums in March 2014 with a jazz & blues inspired background, bringing flare and colours to the tracks that you could get lost in.
