Hiraeth, formally known as “Lions Of The Underground” are a Punk/Metalcore band from Canberra/Australia formed in 2016. In 2017 as “LOTU” they released their Debut EP “Oblivious” and toured the east coast of Australia to celebrate their first release. After a long shot there was a change of heart to suit their new style of music and there for came about their new name “Hiraeth”. On a deeper level, defining homesickness for a home that never was. After months of writing and laying low, came about their long and highly anticipated single “Life In Retrospect” off their first EP as “Hiraeth”. Not long after they took things to a new height with their second single “It’s Never Easy”. Musically and lyrically, this one took them to a deeper level individually and as a band. Skip: We’ve all got demons, we don’t need to fight them. Let’s use them to our advantage.

Hiraeth consists of Adelaide based brother duo Luke and Reegan James on vocals and guitar. With heavy harmony influences and a big pop punk/ post hardcore background the duo mashed the sound to make a sound that spans a big range from emotional and resonant to up lifting and heavy.
