Colac-Otway alt-rock outfit Hold//Fire have made a triumphant return with the release of their second album, Daydreamer, packed with soaring choruses and dark melodies. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Andy at Roseneath Creative, Daydreamer arrives three years after their 2019 debut album The Space In Between. Building on their first release, filled with emotional lyricism with touches of heavy rock and punk elements, Daydreamer sees the band hone in on their alternative rock influences, projecting a lighter, more cinematic sound, which reflects the band’s continual evolution. Released on December 14, the album boasts undeniably nostalgic energy and comprises seven tracks that touch on new relationships, shit going south and generally stuff about being human. Melodic and emotionally charged vocals forge their way through weighty guitars and a driving rhythm section to create a unique sound that’s completely worthy of a good ol’ belted-out singalong.
