The Gospel of Holden Brown and the Wishes might just be the last word in Halloween party albums. Under the direction of Chris Côté, this fictitious group of well-meaning occultists preach their esoteric mythology through a loving and unironic pastiche of classic rock and doo wop. It's a rock show and a mystery play. But altogether, it's a toe-tapping, bone-rattling work of theatrical shenanigans.
