Coming from the dirty pubs and clubs of St Kilda, Honey Smack take their name not from a cereal box but from a strip club advertisement. The band started playing together on stage in roughly september 2011 at open jam nights and wowing audiences with their steadily growing repitiore and the ease of communication on stage. Christmas eve 2011 Honey Smack recorded their first ever demo featuring tracks such as 'Battleship' and 'Many Tales of Maybe'. 2012 has been a big year so far for the band, with a building reputation for an intense live show and jamming together on stage (keeping it how it started) they've played such venues as the Cherry Bar, the Edinburough Castle, Club 161 and Pony Bar. Recently the band split with their first guitarist Vladislav (Vladdy B) Badov due to musical differences, never fear though for the band quickly recruited Obi Sims on bass and reassigned Mike to his birth instrument; guitar.
