Edit history

Founded in the deep, dark valley of January 2021, House in the Tall Grass is the project of four old friends who needed a louder, stranger and angrier outlet in their range of bands (the band is made up of members from various Adelaide music scene institutions including Bromham, Tales/The Winter Gypsy, Hey Harriett and Sturt Avenue). We're writing music for people who feel the world to be strange and proud and blue-grey and distant, but who are righteously angry and firey enough to get up and dance about it. Musical inspiration comes from varied alt rock groups such as Diiv, Modest Mouse, Nirvana, Fontaines D.C. and mewithoutYou. Our new single 'The Sailor Who Fell From Grace' is out on November 3rd.
