House of Laurence are a psych-rock quartet hailing from Melbourne born out of a solo recording project by Christopher Laurence and the desire to intoxicate people with infectious grooves. Having tourered the East Coast promoting their two single releases House of Laurence have enjoyed airplay on Triple J, Triple R and PBS as well as a recent live performance at the Semplesize Block Party at Howler, Melbourne. After a hugely successful sold-out EP launch along with international support slots with Holland’s DeWolff, Canada’s The Mohawk Lodge and local legends Something For Kate and Eagle and the Worm, House of Laurence are on the verge of releasing their powerful debut LP 'Awake'. By locking themselves in a house in the country for a month, the final product of this album was recorded live in just four days. This release draws on many personal and musical influences from up beat rock n’ rollers awash with influences from The Byrds, The Animals and The Misunderstood. This record
