I am a composer and guitarist from Adelaide. I play six and 12-string guitars. I am also involved in experimental music and perform with various groups, including Ensemble St. Preux in Adelaide. My earlier works involved more traditional folk guitar modalities. More recent releases, including "Number Pieces For Guitar" and "Minimal Project", involve short compositions based on number structures and patterns which are particularly well suited to fingerstyle guitar. For example, using arpeggio groupings of 6 and 7 within a bar of 13/16. Earlier albums such as "Hidden Valley" and "12-String Guitar" show my more traditional, modal guitar work. The release "Early Works for Guitar" show my very early efforts at fingerstyle guitar composition. I studied for several years under composer David Harris at the Flinders Street School of Music in Adelaide, which was a great help in the development of my work.
