Hui. (Hughie) is the solo project of Melbourne (Naarm)-based singer-songwriter and artist Hugh William Davies. His self-titled debut EP will be released on the 26th of November and marks a pivotal change in his sound from electronica-soul to indie-rock. The EP was recorded and produced by Rino, in the Melbourne-based producer’s bedroom over the extensive lockdown period. It feels like a breath of fresh air, as Hui. opts for a guitar-driven sound that still grasps the lo-fi elements of his previous releases.
