Formed about a year ago in Newcastle, The Hurricanes are a three-piece rock'n'roll band with a combined wealth of experience and true love for rock rooted in the 60s and 70s. We've crafted a repertoire of original songs full of power, melody, honesty, humour, bitterness and joy. We love playing together and giving our audience the best performance we can.

Bio history
Hurricanes is Tom Llewelyn's solo effort. He is a 20 year old guitarist, who over the years has recorded a no of solo efforts on whatever he can get his hands on (mainly an outdated version of Garageband, on a borrowed computer). throughout school life he played in various bands, winning local band competions and even playing in youthrock 2008. Recruiting his little brother on bass, bribed with false hopes of rock stardom, and drummer friend Sam, Tom hopes to gather a local following and become the greatest thing to come out of the bega valley. Well... apart from cheese ;)
Working across The Transatlantics, The Shaolin Afronauts and Max Savage and the False Idols a tight knit group of young creatives have managed to create something exciting, truly original and sonically unique in Adelaide. A hybrid of rock, soul, indie and country Hurricanes music blends timeless influences with quality songwriting to create something sad, joyous, beautiful and individual. A solo project for singer Tara Lynch, backed by a rhythm section strengthened by a years of recording and touring together, Hurricanes live performances are heartfelt, honest, raw and not to be missed.
