Formed from the ashes of bands across Brisbane’s thriving music scene, Hyde and the Hitcher came together in 2014 with one goal in mind: turn it up loud and damn the fools. The band has spent the initial stages working hard on developing a set list of hard and dirty rock ‘n’ roll. Plenty of distortion and sludge underpins the sound and you won’t find an acoustic guitar anywhere. While no-one can really pin-point what it sounds like, people say everything from Faith No More to The Sword to Guns ‘n’ Roses and System of a Down. We don’t know and we don’t care, we just think it sounds good. Now Hyde and the Hitcher have started to hit the live scene to showcase their ever expanding song list and style. Along with this is the pre-production for their debut recording which was completed in early June 2014 and can be heard on https://www.reverbnation.com/hydeandthehitcher 2014 holds ambitious plans for the band - play around Brisbane, embark on a national tour and put out a debut CD.
