HYG have been filling out living rooms and band nights across Canberra with their hard hitting, constantly evolving and highly energetic performances. Drawing on krautrock, electronic and jazz-fusion influences, HYG combine structured improvisation with playful rhythmic and textural elements to create their own distinct sound across genres. The band’s live show has continued to evolve, filled with improvised jams, heavy-hitting grooves and intricate melodies from the depths of the member’s minds, all of which leaves audiences captivated and always coming back for more. With a growing repertoire of radio airplay, impressive supports credentials for the likes of LIARS, The Lazy Eyes, Party Dozen & Hideous Sun Demon, and a Rage ‘Wild One’ feature for the music video for ‘Be Here’, the band continue to grow on the steady momentum underlying their sound.
