iAffirm is the pseudonym of Joe Jones. Joe grew up surrounded by keyboards and sequencing equipment, relics from his father’s career in the music industry, but he didn’t touch an instrument until he was 21. When a girl broke his heart and he bombed out of a skateboarding competition, Joe decided he needed to write song. Music has been his path through life’s rough patches ever since. A graduate of the 2006 Red Bull Music Academy in Melbourne, Joe records house music under the name Leo Gunn. Several Leo Gunn 12” releases have come out on the Spanish label, Deep Explorer Music and a full album is due out in early 2016. iAffirm is a new project, which aims to create electronic songs with a full bodied sound, featuring self written and recorded lyrics.
