Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, IAlone can best be described as a powerful band with punk/metal/hardcore influences. IAlone brought out their debut self-titled EP in 2006 which included the single “Myself Again”. For the next couple of years the band was slowly writing more material and playing a ton of live shows across New South Wales with bands such as After the Fall, Kid Courageous, Something with Numbers, 28 days and plenty of local acts. 2009 saw a few lineup changes for the band and with this, a newer more modern sound has been developing. The new music draws influences from bands such as ADTR, Silverstein, Saosin, Thrice, Funeral for a Friend and that range of punk/hardcore bands. It’s taken about 8 months of recording, re-recording & re-re-recording but IAlone’s new EP is set to be unleashed early 2010.
