With six album releases under his belt, and fresh from the success of one top 10 finish and one top 30 result in last years Australian Songwriter's Awards Ian is back in the studio and has just released a new album, Last Chance Hotel. Based in the Victorian High Country, Ian's songs draw on the often harsh Victoria landscape, his songs take the listener on a journey of battered dreams, insightful emotions and the circle of life in all its power and glory. Keeping the raw honesty with traditional soundscapes of fingerpicking guitar, laced with jangly-edged electric layers, his style is very much in the Paul Kelly, Bruce Springsteen realm. His songs are all about the story, lyrics and the emotion with a voice straight from the heart.
