Formed in 2007 on the Sunshine Coast, Idle Theory have meshed to form a sound that is not content to stick to one key genre, no gimmicks, no carbon copies. The band draws on influences from many bands in genres from rock to thrash metal. Review by Rob Stanley on The Point Sunshine Coast website (www.thepointsunshinecoast.com.au, a website gaining momentum for the support and development of local sunshine coast undergound bands) of our show at The Rolling Rock, Noosa 10/01/2010: "Meaty guitar riffage, balls and chunk drums and bass, and in your face vocals made this set an awesome set of classic raw heavy metal. I watched some of their stuff on youtube before the gig to get an idea of what to expect, and the clips didn't do them justice. "These guys have a great stage presence, awesome huge sound and fantastic original songs that reminded me a bit of old school Slayer meets Limp Bizkit. Can't wait to see them again!"
