IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) is the solo moniker of Mornington Peninsula (AUS)-based multi instrumentalist, vocalist, producer and sound healer (dip. Sound Healing Academy, Cornwall), Phoebe Dubar. She combines ethereal vocals with lush strings, bass-forward synths and effects-laden guitar with field recordings, to create a unique, ambient, neo-classical electronica sound, which sits at the intersection of the natural world and the human experience. She has released seven solo albums to date: independently, with Constellation Tatsu (Oakland), Hush Hush Records (Seattle) and Lo Recordings (London), achieving widespread acclaim from tastemakers (including Derrick Gee), blogs, Amazon and Spotify official playlists and radio (BBC Radio 6, KEXP, RTE, triple j, double j, RRR, PBS-FM). She has also released collaborative albums with international artists on Past Inside the Present (USA), Stereoscenic (USA) and Home Normal (UK). She has had notable performances at Dark MOFO, Tree People in Los Angeles, An Evening with Drew Barrymore at Sydney ICC and Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Melbourne Recital Centre, Jazzlab, Peninsula Hot Springs and a swathe of smaller venues across VIC and NSW. She collaborated with bestselling author/activist, Sarah Wilson on “this very moment” and co-hosted a special, International Women’s Day edition of “Soak” on PBS 106.7FM with renowned pianist/composer/producer, Nat Bartsch. She established and co-runs the Warm Mids Afternoon event series with Ruby Lulham (clariloops) Phoebe also facilitates group sound baths using a combination of Himalayan and Alchemy crystal singing bowls, gongs, hand pan, drum, chimes, Monochord and voice, including overtone singing. She also facilitates training workshops locally and abroad, and featured in a dedicated sound healing segment on The House of Wellness (Channel 7) and as a guide for Endota Retreat. In 2023, she produced an 8 part Podcast, “What is Sound?”, featuring interviews with industry experts across the topics of sound healing, music performance, recording, indigenous wisdom and the sounds of the natural world. ——————————————————————————————————————— “Her sound palette lies at the delicate intersection of the natural world in fissure with atmospheric electronics and instruments. Much like Philip Glass or Ryuichi Sakamoto, Dubar’s way with a subtle shift into an irregular rhythm, a harmonic modulation or change in articulation, tricks the listener into a trance. IKSRE is seriously slept on - it's time to wake up.” (The Wire Magazine)  “Somewhere between sound healing and environmental music, Nurture is a techno-naturalistic exploration of the relationships between people, places and times” (Dazed Magazine) “a journey to the cosmos, with patiently chiming tones standing in for twinkling stars as the song’s soft drones provide both warmth and a sense of weightlessness. Who knew that getting lost in space could feel this pleasant?” (First Floor) “positive, elevating, shimmering and textural sonic experiences” (Headphone Commute) “Her signature recipe examines the dynamics of the human mind, soul and body. In some instances it evokes the transcendence of a sound bath and in others a delightful comedown from a long and fun night out.” (Vehlinggo) “her mediative compositions, and live improvisations, never fail to speak to me. Sometimes summoning landscapes, sometimes memories. At others, simply instantly instilling a designed / desired state of peace and calm.” (Ban Ban Ton Ton) “...a blissfully soothing entry into the world of healing by sound, flawlessly arranged and recorded.” (Igloo) "Through immersive, calming soundscapes, she transmits prismatic visions into the world, creating welcoming spaces for dreaming... It’s all a beautiful place to get lost." (Foxy Digitalis) "lush ambient and experimental music mingled with field recordings and ethereal vocals.” (Stationary Travels) “…she crafts each piece with an almost medicinal quality, her soundscapes offering a balm for modern-day anxieties.” (Chain DLK)
