Immersion, a Canberra Metalcore band, was established in mid 2010. The band was originally formed out of previous band Pray for Mercy (Hayden and James C) and since then they’ve endured many new recruitments and member changes including the departure of James S, Maddison H, Jonah W and Phillip H; and the addition of Adam K on vocals, Dylan G on guitar, Tim B on bass and James S on drums. The band draws their influences from a wide and varied pool of genres. As well as death core and other genres of metal, the band integrates progressive rock, aggressive punk and funk, and even folk music into their music. Mixing metal with other genres creates an original sound, resonating with audiences everywhere. The band has so far released a self-titled demo CD containing 7 songs, the band continues to work on their upcoming EP entitled “The Hills Run Red”, which is due to be released in late 2012.

IMMERSION
Bio history
IMMERSION is an unassuming female fronted Melbourne-based four piece original rock band. Don't let their demure demeanor fool you - IMMERSION's sound is heavy and dynamic yet extremely infectious, and springs from a unique blend of big guitar sounds and driving rhythms. The development of IMMERSION's sound can be partly attributed to the influences consumed regularly in their staple rock diet, which includes big helpings of international acts such as the Foo Fighters and Tool, and lashings of local rock acts such as the Superjesus, Full Scale and Karnivool. IMMERSION was formed from the remnants of Perth rock act Aurakil. Aurakil began in 2000, and in 2001 they released their debut EP entitled "IMMERSION". Having conquered the Perth music scene, Aurakil set their sights on a new challenge - the big city of Melbourne. The move in 2003 presented a chance for the band to re-form, re-brand and re-label and consequently, IMMERSION was born. IMMERSION has since seen a couple of members
