Indigo Hotel started penning tunes as a wee young thang in the suburbs of Sydney. Over the years, what might have been a passing interest in open-chord pop-songs grew into something of an obsession. After moving to Melbourne in 2009, she let her sounds loose on the people, playing little shows around the North-syde (The Empress, Bar 333, The Edinburgh Hotel, The Retreat). In 2011, she upgraded from fooling round with her laptop, and recorded a few tracks with Lachlan Wooden in his lovely woodblock-lined backyard studio in Brunswick West. Indigo hotel abandoned Melbourne at the end of 2013: blame it on her wild heart. She is currently based part time back in the Emerald city and part time in the quiets of the Canberra suburbs.
