Cynical Naarm trans babe InfraGhosts (Laura Davis) pulls shapes, bends circuits, plays new-wave heavy synthpop over Hi-NRG claps and takes her audience by force. Laura combines hardware synthesis, dance, vocals, experimental video projection, video game design and live generated DMX lighting. Laura has been performing since the mid-2000s, when she formed the street punk band Dirty Mits and co-wrote two EPs. After the band parted ways, she pivoted towards visual art and multimedia through a Masters of Visual Arts at the VCA. In 2014, Laura launched her solo act InfraGhosts: a culmination of years of disparate interests, this DIY project was conceived and realised in a self-made studio comprised entirely of secondhand and repaired equipment, and combines synthpop with projection art, leather work, circuit-bending and intersectional feminism. In 2016 she wrote, self-produced and released her debut solo EP 'Moment of Trust’. Laura's upcoming album 'Body Heat' is due out in November 2023.
