Drawing on experimental recording techniques using non-traditional microphones, Inshishnu creates pulsing, crackling, washed out soundscapes punctuated by tentative nostalgia fueled notes. Like a fusing of Burial, Vangelis, Jon Hopkins and Fennesz, Inshishnu is a slow meditation on the future, the past, and an auralization of what streets would look like in 50 years at night after rain. Composed over a year of intricate micro-edits, attempts at maintaining the rough and honest feel of immediate chromatic inspiration, and eternal revision, Neon Wet Streets is Inshishnu's debut release. An ode to the pre-apocalypse.
