INVERNO MCMXCII is an instrumental metal project formed in 2021 by Maurizio Piras in Melbourne, Australia. INVERNO MCMXCII begun the recording of the 4-track debut EP ‘In Extremis’ in July 2021, featuring Robin Stone on drums. The sound of In Extremis is defined by its high-octane low-tuned heavy riffing songs, creating a presence where all inspiring influences merge together seamlessly, complimented by the intricate drum patterns and melodic leads from guitar layering. The EP invokes a relentless sense of heaviness, agitation and anguish alternated by powerful vibrant relief on during the melodic sections of the recording. 'In Extremis' is out on November 16th
