Hailing from Melbourne’s north-eastern suburbs, fourteen year olds Nathan Gunn and Jhya Hall have already achieved more than the average high school students. Choosing not to stick to a particular ‘genre’, the two have already secured their place in the industry. Starting only in February, they promptly started playing shows, speaking on multiple radio stations, and recording original music; all this while fitting in the daily stresses of high school. When asked about the name ‘Invert Beauty’, Nathan says “Me and Jhya were just sitting at school like, “Hey let’s start a band”, and we thought, “Let’s give it a name” and we thought of Invert Beauty” – redefining the stereotypes of beauty.
