Swaying on pop indie echoes that drop in and out of folk and rock, Iris artfully resists being boxed into a category. Having recently completed her 2nd EP for the two part recording project “Between Dreaming & Daylight”, she overflows with warm sweeping harmonies backed by driving guitars, and exquisite string arrangements that wrap around haunting melodies and punchy hooks. With the energy of her recordings naturally experienced in the presence of her live band, Iris performs with a fluid line-up, often returning to her folk roots as an invitation to an honest and intimate space between artist and audience. With the songs stripped back to their acoustic beginnings and void of any production, this only highlights the craft and strength of the songs themselves. Following the release of Between Dreaming and Daylight - Part 1 in 2014, Iris toured New Zealand and Europe as well as back home through Sydney, regional NSW, VIC & QLD. She has featured on a string of festival lineups

IRIS is a new-coming indie/soft rock band, led by musician Os Thompson who performs and produces all of the bands music. With years of exploring different genres and sounds, the band involves a mix of past and contemporary music.

An independent band blending classic alt rock tropes with bushells of Tettley's finest punk and pop thrown in for good measure, Iris are a 3-piece with a sweet tooth for nostalgia and live instrument changes
