Jack Phemister makes Art Rock music for the modern misanthrope. Raised in country NSW, Phemister has been residing in Melbourne since 2022, where he and his band produced two full length albums ‘Death of the Close Minded’ (Oct 2022) & ‘Eternal! Eternal!’ (Apr 2024). His work is narrative-driven and ranges freely across the wastelands of musical genre, from lush & tender folk songs, to industrial art-punk sermons. A creative guitarist and producer, Phemister’s recordings and live shows intertwine effects pedals, strings, horns, tight rhythm section playing and unwarranted magniloquence, in a display tiptoeing along the edges of the virtuosic and theatrical. In May of 2024, following the release of ‘Eternal! Eternal!’, Phemister is relocating with his partner to the Czech Republic.
