Sydney’s Jack R. Reilly has been a fixture of the Australian Independent music scene for years, bringing gut wrenching and heart warming songwriting to the depths of dimly lit corners of people’s houses as well as some of Australia’s premier venues. The strength and consistency of his work has inspired many of his contemporaries, such as Obscura Hail, who name checked Jack as an influence in their song Psychic Cemetery. It also caught the attention of the iconic 90s film director Kevin Smith, calling Jack’s songwriting “Ingenious.” Securing some strong support from triple j over his career; April 2020 saw Jack R. Reilly winning the triple j Unearthed NIDA music video competition. They produced the video for lead single from his debut album, Blood, which premiered on the ABC’s long running music video program, Rage. 2024 will see the release of Jack’s sophomore album, After The Parade.
