Jacob Diamond is an artist dedicated to the search for their voice. As a restless teen in the world’s most isolated capital city, he found salvation in writing songs and was soon singing them at open mics on school nights. The effects were immediate, and Diamond would go on to join bands of all shapes and sizes and eventually perform around the world; grounded always by a dedication to authenticity and community. Their self-released debut album (Goodbye Gondwana, 2018) earned a nomination for Album of the Year at the WAM Awards where they also took home gongs for Best Vocalist and Best Guitarist. Diamond soon saw the world, joining art-pop outfit Methyl Ethel and Stella Donnelly on national and international tours. After the world paused in 2020, Jacob found himself embedded in a new scene on the opposite coast. In Naarm, he continued to evolve and find confidence, joining giants like Julia Jacklin, Courtney Barnett, Camp Cope and Angie McMahon on stages around the country.
