Hailing from Australia’s Southern Highlands, 16 year old, Jacob Sgouros is a singer - songwriter that has “Serious chops. Chops that could melt a beard off Matt Corby”. Jacobs song-writing talent is reminiscent of prominent singer-songwriter staples Bon Iver, City and Colour and Lewis Watson. Jacob has recently released his debut EP, ‘Maybe’. The EP plays out quite melancholic with the theme of love forming its backbone; Sgouros convincing his audience that he knows all about the ins and outs of relationships whilst admitting to having his heart broken once or twice. His music is unintimidating, refined acoustic pop; gently delivered but well-constructed, thought provoking and, most importantly, memorable.
