Originally from Sydney, Australia, JACQUI HOLMES has now carved out a musical niche for herself on the South Coast of NSW. She creates what she calls ‘Cabaret Grunge Pop’ music that mashes together electronic and ambient sounds with distorted guitars, reggae chops and pop. Having strong influences from 70’s & 80’s Rock and Pop, JACQUI has been referred to by some fans as a female Bowie. JACQUI’S song writing style flirts with post punk and grunge and her androgynous vocals will stop you in your tracks. JACQUI has been performing original material for twenty years, having previousl recorded albums with Indie bands The Honey Hunters and Star Anise, she is now taking the reins and creating her own sound as JACQUI HOLMES.
