About Jad… After years of writing songs and playing them in lounge rooms and hallways and hotel rooms on business trips, one such business trip in late 2006 took Jad to California where he played his songs to strangers for the first time. After a night out on the town, a fair amount of Jack Daniels, a momentous ride on a mechanical bull...and a 'last call' for drinks, half a dozen newly met friends sojourned to Jad's suite for a nightcap. Upon them seeing the guitar leaning against the lounge and requesting a song, and then a second, and then a third, Jad had delivered his first performance to a small, intimate, appreciative and, by the end of the third song, somewhat emotional audience. He arrived back in Bondi Beach two days later after 14 hours of transpacific economy class seating where the desire to have people hear his songs again took hold, pitched a flag, set up camp...and established small industry. Being a songwriter, rather than a singer.. or a guitarist for that
