JAISUS by Jai Pyne After spending the better part of a decade at the helm of much loved Sydney band The Paper Scissors, Jai Pyne went quiet. Suffering from burnout and general music inertia, he took a couple of years hermitage in his inner city dojo; to recuperate, listen to new music, start a cafe, go surfing and eat good food and turn water into good wine. On the eve of the last day of the last month of the 2013 he set himself a challenge- to upload a new track every month to his Soundcloud page in 2014. These tracks displayed absolute abandon with no respect for genre and no fear of style or boundaries. Twelve slices travelling between weirdo disco, lo-fi soul, hip hop, bass music and pop. Creating, with no distractions, making songs for his family and friends but mostly making music that he wanted to hear. Jaisus is the second coming, pulling together and completing 6 of
