Originally from Sheffield, UK, Jake Caine moved to Australia in late 2021. He quickly became involved in the local music scene in Perth. In England, Jake performed in numerous bands such as The Marshalls, Bang Bang Club, and The Brigantes. Upon moving to Australia, Jake went solo and began working on new material with David Jones at Fremantle Studios. This marked the start of a new sound for Jake --- departing from Indie Rock to Psych Rock. This new sound blends the angsty, sorrowful music of Leonard Cohen with the guitar solos of Pink Floyd. Jake's lyrics are a driving feature of his songs, covering topics such as protest marches, anxiety, politics, city life, work life and the gutter life. Jake takes influence from not only Leonard Cohen, but also Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Patti Smith.
