Jaksyn is a solo musician from Ballarat, VIC Australia who is fusing various influences to create an eclectic and creatively expanding sound. He has been writing and performing for 10+ Years (aged 13) and has expressed and experimented, playing in various bands like ‘Apex Bloom’ to great acclaim. Currently, Jaksyn is embarking on a journey of performative and poetic-like exploration in relation to his music, and has a primary goal in mind: To excite, confuse, and entertain. Having grown up around a broad-range of genres and styles of music, ranging from his earliest influence Buddy Holly, to more experimental and noise-soaked artists like Nine Inch Nails and clipping. Jaksyn is able to create from a very open-minded perspective and infuse his songs and sounds with a plethora of life-experience. “Music is my vice, it is my release. Therefore, making it and being surrounded by it is what I just need to do, nothing more, nothing less” Jaksyn has released several solo projects to date, including his eclectic debut album ‘Boketto’ which is packed to the brim with catchy guitar-driven tunes. His sophomore LP ’The Overload’ - is a more mellow-sounding soundscape that paints out themes of loss and daily struggle with mental health. It presents itself as an electronically-soothing follow up that was written and produced in a great time of suffering, creating a feeling of personal acknowledgment and an important notion to mental-health awareness. As creativity blooms and artistic vision expands, Jaksyn is intending to defy any singular definition of music, and explore the genre-fluid soundscape created in search of excitement. This includes his newest foray into the weird-and-wonderful, his new album; 'WILD VILE WEST'. An album that tells the tale of a gunslinger caught in the turmoil of the badlands of the old West. Onwards and upwards, Jaksyn seeks to use his unique, free-spirited nature to engage audiences and spread his vision far and wide. “Australian songwriter and artist Jaksyn presents a fine example of authentically original, uninhibited creativity. Jaksyn’s repertoire to date features an impressively eclectic range of themes and musical styles, and the stories within captivate in uniquely interesting ways'' - Stereo Stickman The future of Jaksyn's music is exciting and invigorating, and he is only getting started
