James Earthenware is a one man band specialising in Casio keyboards, computerised rhythms, melodic lo-fi guitar noise, naive computer game music keyboards and sporadic vocalisations, often wry comments on life and poignant stories. James records all his material in his bedroom using obsolete technology. His bedroom is located in Melbourne, Australia, a country that was once a British colony but is now obsessed with importing it’s cultural identity from the United States. (However that is possibly the lesser of two evils considering current attempts at establishing a national identity seem restricted to primitive rants expressing skepticism about science, anti-intellectualism posing as egalitarianism, xenophobic anger and romanticizing the war dead). The point of providing this context is to emphasize that James' music reflects only his personal views...and has absolutely nothing to do with any cultural trends...and that such a disclaimer is needed because he's sick of watching
