James Parade (aka Matthew James Butler and Stuart James Lord) originated as a university project when the talented guitarist realised his natural flair for penning a tune, awarded an "A" for his 'travelling safely' song. An original blend of folk and pop, James Parade has performed heartfelt songs to empty loungerooms for over 4 years. Raised in the sleepy hills of Windella Downs, now based in Sydney, James Parade has a diverse catalogue of melodious, sweet and sorrowful songs that he will one day be remembered for. Drawing on personal experiences, observation and imagination, James Parades lyrics take the listener on a journey that is revealing and intimately honest. 'Can't Even Cry', James Parades latest track, is a shaky step into the shoes of a young man fighting to "make it happen", while songs such as "Just hum" and "Under a bridge" illustrate an artist with hope for life and a great love for the music around him.
