Having spent a few years busking in train tunnels around Sydney, I began meeting some very interesting characters - old drunken rockers, Mormons who tried to convert me, hobos that would scream maniacally at me, a gang member who wanted me to play for some kind of music club within his gang to stop them killing each other... the list went on. Not long after this, and probably due to the weird encounters mentioned above, I began to have some very strange and vivid dreams which inspired songs I began to write. The dreams escalated until one morning I woke up with a melody in my head that I had never heard before, and I used this to write one of my first songs. I began to record these songs, practicing them while busking in different places around the world and playing a regular open mike night in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
