Releasing her first Ep ‘Lonely Hearts’ back in 2019, Japanese Heart Software (Nat Chippy) spent the majority of the 2020 lockdown writing for her debut album ‘Soft’, set for release in late 2021. The first single ‘Drag’ set the tone for her usual reverb drenched bedroom pop, layered with guitars and dreamy synth hooks. The Second Single ‘Passenger’ brings a new element by adding in a trip hop drum beat to her signature sound. The track also features backing vocals by Portland shoegaze musician Animal Ghosts.
