Walking through downtown Perth, you've probably heard Jarryd West. His career as a musician started as a busker until he was spotted and asked to perform on Telethon. After writing his own songs, he partnered with Fusion Music Academy to record an EP set to release in early 2018. Jarryd's voice is easily mistaken for Ed Sheeran (with an Australian accent). After his family emigrated from South Africa when he was young, Jarryd West developed his skills in different artistic media--painting, photography, and of course, songwriting. His songs are often about family, lost love, and beach-side nostalgia.
