Jasmine Iona began recording her own songs at the age of 13 in her coastal hometown on the Eyre Peninsula. Building a loyal fanbase through local gigs, Jasmine began sharing her original music via social media & free CDs distributed at surf shops. Her self-produced demos received national recognition in the triple j Unearthed High competitions of 2015 & 2016. In 2017, Jasmine moved to Melbourne & began collaborating with producer David Turley, leading to the release of a pop-focused self-titled EP in 2022. In 2023, Jasmine wrote & released 'Petrol Blue', a deeply personal four-song EP born out of the unexpected loss of her estranged grandfather. The EP was completed just before Jasmine embarked on a year-long volunteer teaching program in the Republic of Georgia, where she facilitated songwriting workshops in local schools. Intimate and cathartic, ‘Her’ marks Jasmine’s first release since her return to Australia, shedding light on the experiences that defined her adolescence.
