Jason Kenny shrugs off tags like folk, acoustic rock and singer songwriter by composing instrumental soundtracks, reworking songs and genres on a nightly basis so what was crooned soulfully last night may tonight be a mid-60’s Dylan venom spit. He is a musician and writer, with poetry and short stories published in national magazines while still in high school, a novelist researching his second book in Europe while finishing the writing and demos from his forthcoming album and polishing up the first book for publication. He was in a band, but that folded. For the last three years he has been working as a music and culture journalist while cultivating new songs and developing his Little Room Records label. A collection of four songs, The Scratchings of Ink EP, was released in late 2006. Little Room Records will release his first album, Fugitive, in April 2012.
